On the 2nd weekend in January every year, the town of Parkes in Central New South Wales, comes alive to the sounds of the ClubsNSW Parkes Elvis Festival.
Held over 3 days, the Festival Program features more than 45 events! Highlight events include the Elvis Street Parade, Elvis in the Park Festivities, Elvis Feature Concerts and the Elvis Gospel Church Service.
In 2007 the visitors centre at the CSIRO Parkes radio telescope will host an exhibition of the Gary Cooley Collection of over 300 original Elvis LPs. Gary will be there to discuss and play some of his collection.
